Shark Index Power Rankings - Season 21 Week 1

Here are the Sharkey's World Power Rankings for Week 1 of Season 21.

For those who are unaware of the old Shark Index formula, it takes the team's win percentage and adds it to the difference between team OPS and OPS allowed [Win PCT + (OPS - Opp OPS)].

Season 19 Hall of Fame Recap

Well since the season is now over, this seems like a terrible time to recap the Hall of Fame, but I'll do it anyway. Sharkey's World elected their first ever member to the Hall of Fame and it couldn't have been a more deserving candidate:
Frank Harris

Frank has the career record for ERA, On-base percentage allowed, Saves, Slugging percentage allowed, Strikeout-to-Walk ratio and WHIP. He was a 13-time All-Star, 4-time Fireman of the Year, 2-time World Champion and took home a Cy Young trophy. He has almost 100 more saves than the next closest player in the record books. Harris was so dominating that he could often times come into the game in the 8th inning and close out a game with a little more than a handful of pitches. His legacy of domination will always be tied to his former teammate Christopher Ramirez.

Congratulations to Frank Harris on being the inagural member of the Sharkey's World Hall of Fame. Next season should have several more players knocking on the door including Jeremi Dunn and Devon Decker who both had double digit votes this season. Please remember to take a moment to vote for the Hall of Fame during Season 20's Spring Training period.

Shark Index Power Rankings - Season 19 Week 2

Here are the Sharkey's World Power Rankings for Week 2 of Season 19. With the exception of some perennial powerhouses that have started slow (and will most likely steer their ships back on course), not much change since the last power rankings in week 7 of last season (meant to run the numbers for the end of last season, but erred slightly).

For those who are unaware of the old Shark Index formula, it takes the team's win percentage and adds it to the difference between team OPS and OPS allowed [Win PCT + (OPS - Opp OPS)].
